Join us for a three day Beginner Backpacking weekend on South Manitou Island, Friday August 15 - Sunday August 17th. Meet us in Leland to pack our backpacks before boarding the ferry to the island. We’ll spend each night on opposite sides of island, and have the opportunity to explore the Old Growth Cedars, the dunes, a ship wreck, a lighthouse, and historical sites.
All skill levels welcome- you’ll learn everything you need to know about staying safe in the backcountry and Leaving No Trace.

The cost of the trip includes ferry tickets, all meals for the weekend, backpacking lessons, tents and group gear.
Upon signing up you’ll receive a Packing List and a detailed Trip Itinerary.
